Christina has collaborated on a variety of community projects throughout the world. She focuses on learning about different cultures and educating communities about global and local environmental issues.

While living in Washington D.C., Christina worked for the national organization, First Book, where she had direct impact in low-income and underserved communities focusing on childhood literacy: First Book provides access to new books for children in need.
Main work responsibilities were supervising community grant awards, tracking book orders, database management, data entry for large book distributions, assisting in the efficiency of online Marketplace ordering, and customer service.Other large projects included participating in outreach for national educational initiatives and managing corporate projects on behalf of The Borders Bookstore and the Target Corporation.

Christina was awarded a scholarship to assist in the sustainable planning of a community garden located at Murdoch University. This involved the skills and abilities accumulated through her studies in urban development and environmental technology for sustainability as well a literature search on management frameworks for community gardens. This community development nonprofit was founded upon Native Title Legislation to work with Indigenous communities in the area of property rights, economic development, renewable technologies, land management, tourism, marine protection, and education. She was specifically chosen to assist in research on a Social Impact Assessments for a potential coalmining operation on traditional owned land in the remote area of Cape York.

Christina joined the Goolaraboloo Community and 40+ participants to walk a 90-kilometer sacred song lines of the Lurujarri Heritage Trail. Our purpose was to raise awareness about the potential harm of the development projects at James Price Point. Truly a unique experience for her as she took part of such a long-standing cultural tradition while learning about indigenous knowledge, connection to land, and non-violent political action.
